"I was. Love, sadness, fear. I used to be a being made of all emotions. But ever since you set Willow's mind on fire, all I can feel is anger!"

Come on, tell me she doesn't remind you of someone.

I wander what will be series finale
Can you imagine a crossover between Elfen Lied and Yo-kai Watch?
I was thinking recently about a series called Narutaru Or Shadow Star. It is a dark series, so dark I will say it makes EL look like DBZ or Sailor Moon. Yet, while unsparing, it actually shies away from something EL shows almost explicitly.
The main character's best friend has the worst of all worlds; Helicopter parents who shame and chastise her if her grades slip even a little, and sadistic even for anime bullies who stop at almost nothing to punish her if her high grades give them classroom grief by comparison and scaling. Then, in a very short sequence, the girl's mother tells the father 'Maybe you were too close to her' - and leaves it at that while his face blanches. The implication is clear - and no surprise, this scenario ends horrifically in every way and on every level. Point being, this series which again is at least as dark as EL and likely darker, simply implies parental rape. But in Mayu's case, the imagery is restrained but explicit. Not hentai by any stretch, but clearer than any comfort zone. No betrayed hurt look on the child's face, no knowing fearful look on the abusers' to convey this horror. Her stepfather is standing behind an unclad Mayu, full stop, and she is crying. I would argue maybe this needed to happen, since children of abuse are often disbelieved, or the imagery we conjure of what they must have endured is discounted against what we the viewer can bear to think of.
So was this crossing the line or is that reserved for things like Nyu - yeah - on Nozomi, or the fate of Number 28?
So I'm on the Villains Wiki, where one of the admins seems to have it in for me (maybe not, but a lot of my stuff gets challenged and summarily deleted there), and I check on the articles I started on EL villains - and when I go to Mayu's mother - surprise! Someone has labeled the info as 'out of date'. Hmmm. Out of date, for a very minor character with maybe four appearances in a twenty-year old series that the mangaka has shown no interest in revisiting. WONDER WHY THAT COULD BE?
I've also been accused of poor grammar, plagiarism - you name it. Or don't.
Okamato isn't posting, and neither are quite a few others. Spend 44 billion to kill an active company?
It shows that we humans must fix our major flaws that we keep doing such as war, genocide, discrimination, murder, rape and abuse of power. Elfen Lied wants to say to us "If we keep up repeating our mistakes and severe flaws. The world might not survive as long and it's best if we try to fix our common flaws and severe issues to fix the world". It vilifies the atrocities both humans and Diclonius commit and shows the severe consequences of discrimination and why it should never exist.
We know EL has a dedicated fandom. We here are best evidence of that? But with all the overwhelmingly negative reviews it receives, does it have an equally dedicated anti-fandom? I mean even past mere haters, people who will go out of their way to bash it?
Lucy vs. Robin from One Piece. Who would win?
Does anyone knows lucy her vectors abilities powers she use has? If you do plz tell me

I love elfen lied i wish it comes back so i can see more this season 2? Would your all like see it return?
If there was an Elfen Lied/Fullmetal Alchemist crossover, what would it be like?
What would happen if Lucy/Nyu got contained by the SCP Foundation?

Ever felt disappointed that the final chapter of Elfen Lied didn't go into much detail regarding Nozomi? This manga acts as an extended epilogue from her perspective, giving her much needed closure.
Observe this post-script scene from the final manga chapter:
And now this scene from the Star Trek Original Series Pilot "The Cage" as well as the remade episode "The Menagerie' featuring the series original captain, Christopher Pike. Pike in this scene is in an illusion with a woman he loves living a life that is beyond their current bodies:
The capture isn't too great, but you can see the scene on You Tube. I have to believe Okamoto was inspired by this.

I found this video (Yes, thanks to SuperEyePatchWolf, before anyone asks) a few weeks ago and felt compelled to view it today.
I thought of sharing it with you all. It's a video about not just Elfen Lied, but the context that permitted it to be as explosively popular in the west as it was, unlike the comparative relative obscurity of Japan's reception.
Word of advice tho: It's like 2+ hours long. Good luck!
